Our Ministry

The purpose of AFLC World Missions is, by the grace of God, to make disciples of all nations through teaching and evangelism.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20

We endeavor to go into all the world , proclaim  the gospel message, plant gatherings of Christians, and equip these growing churches in the study of the Word of God.

Take an in-depth look at our ministry around the world in our Envision video series

Our Faith

The members of the World Missions Board of the Association of Free Lutheran Congregations and its missionaries believe and confess the Holy Scriptures (the Canonical Books of the Old and New Testament) to be the inspired Word of God, revealed for the salvation of men. They are the only infallible and inerrant source and rule of faith, doctrine, and life for the Christian.

The Board and its missionaries also accept the Lutheran Church's Confession of Faith in the Apostolic, Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds, the unaltered Augsburg Confession, and Luther's Small Catechism as correct expositions of the Word of God.
All doctrinal instruction and action of this Board and its missionaries shall conform therewith, and to that end the by-laws are promulgated in its Articles of Incorporation.

Our Goals

Our vision for AFLC World Missions is to see the message of the Gospel spread to all nations:

  • Planting free and living Lutheran congregations
  • Reaching unreached people groups
  • Establishing Biblical training
  • Developing independent congregations
  • Serving those in need with compassion
  • Preparing future missionaries for service on the field
