John and Hannah Lee
John graduated from AFLTS this May after serving an internship in Arlington, Washington. John and Hannah Lee have accepted a call from AFLC World Missions.
They will serve in a predominantly Muslim country in Asia where security is a concern. Therefore, the Lee’s exact location is not being publicly divulged. They will spend the first year learning the culture and language. Following that John will be involved in planting and nurturing Lutheran congregations, and training church leaders.
The World Missions Committee seeks to send others to this same country to work alongside of the Lees. Please be in prayer for John and Hannah as they follow God’s leading in this call.
Andrew and Alexis Olson
Andrew graduated from AFLTS this May. He served as an intern at Abiding Savior Free Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Andrew experienced a burden for the unreached people groups in Africa when his family moved to Tanzania while he was 13. He saw the importance of Bibles being translated into the heart languages of these unreached people groups and determined to set a course toward Bible translation.
Andrew has accepted a call from AFLC World Missions to be on loan to Lutheran Bible Translators. They plan to serve in Tanzania, East Africa. Pray for the Olsons as they serve the Lord.
Brent and Emily Raan
Brent and Emily spent a year in Asia building relationships and learning the culture and language. Unfortunately, doors were closed, and they were unable to remain there because of visa issues.
After much prayer and discussion, the World Missions Committee asked the Raans if they would consider being reassigned to Uganda. After much prayer and seeking God’s will the Raan’s have accepted this call to serve in Uganda
They will serve in Jinja, Uganda as church planters with the possible goal of moving to Karenga, Uganda to serve alongside of the Bergers. The Raans will leave for Uganda in September. Please be in prayer for them.
