The mission work of the AFLC in Mexico is divided up into two entities: The Central Mexican Lutheran Church (CMLC) and the work of our missionaries.
AFLC has partnered with the CMLC since 1979. Rev. Samuel Flores was the first president of the CMLC. Today Rev. Milton Flores is the president. The CMLC works in cities in the central area of Mexico.
AFLC Missionaries have ministered in an area north of Leon, starting in Aguascalientes and now in Jerez.
One of the most successful ways of reaching people in Mexico seems to be through Kids' Clubs and youth groups. They are brought to faith in their youth and then discipled to live for Him as they grow.
The Giles family have been busy translating the AFLC Ambassador Sunday School Material. The material is then placed on the internet where people can download quality Bible-based Spanish Sunday school material anywhere in the world. The response has been amazing as thousands of copies are downloaded every month. Visit the website.
The Principios Project partners with the Church in Mexico to help them build simple places of worship. Churches and individuals in the United States help congregations in Mexico build churches by sharing the cost.
The goal is to raise $60,000 to help to build a church for the congregation in Jerez.
