Brent and Emily Raan were called by AFLC World Missions in the Spring of 2015. They began serving on May 15, 2015 and were commissioned at the Annual Conference on June 17th at the Warm Beach Conference Center. Brent graduated from the AFLTS in May 2015 and was ordained at the Annual Conference.
They spent about one year in India with the goal of building up the pastors of AFLC of India. They sought to live there on a more permanent basis but because of visa difficulties are no longer able to return. They have now accepted to go and help serve within the country of Uganda. Their main focus will planting Free and Living Lutheran Congregations.
Their first year will be spent building relationships with the leadership, national workers and people that live and work there. They also are learning the culture and adjusting to their new way of life. They are currently in the United States and will be leaving for Uganda on September 10th.
