Dear friends, family, and supporters in America,
Greetings from Jinja, Uganda.
In my last update I finished with:
Please pray for the Bergers and I as we prepare to head up to Karamoja sometime this week. My next letter to you will probably be from Karenga.
But as you can see from my greeting, I haven’t quite reached Karenga yet. But by the time I am done typing this letter, perhaps I will be able to bid you a farewell from my long-expected destination. God willing… Our first week delay came from vehicle troubles. Then we suddenly needed to send Micah home as his family gathered for the passing of his grandfather. Micah returned this week – only to be delayed by more vehicle maintenance.
But today, yes today, Micah and I are scheduled to go on ahead to open up our apartment in Karenga. We hope to receive American visitors Tuesday night. Pastor Kevin Olson, founder of the Ambassador Institute, has scheduled time in his two week stay to come up and see our work. He is bringing two friends, Pastor Paul and Wayne. Paul is Micah’s uncle, and Wayne works as a maintenance director back at AFLBS campus where we have our world mission headquarters. Brent and I got to pick them up from the airport.
